Robert Griffin III Fan Carved Pumpkin

With Halloween quickly approaching you are bound to find all sorts of unique carved pumpkins. For sports fans, one of the newer fads is to carve your favorite teams logo letting the entire neighborhood know who you support — but what about your favorite player?

After carving a Redskins pumpkin last year, Alejandro Torres (known as Torresa on Extremeskins) wanted a bigger challenge, and that’s when he came up with the idea to carve a Robert Griffin III pumpkin. From the beginning of creating a pattern in Photoshop from the infamous ‘HOPE’ picture, to the end of carving it, it took him roughly two hours to complete. Needless to say, he nailed it.

So why Robert Griffin III and not someone else on the Redskins? “RG3 is the big man in town now and the “HOPE” photo suited well to carving” he told me. When asked whether he planned on creating any other Redskins players, “No plans to carve any more, at least not this year.”

Now Alejandro does live in Panther/Falcon country, but he said that doesn’t scare him from displaying and showing his Redskins Pride, “not too worried about anyone messing with it. Not much traffic by my place…..and the near future will probably store in fridge to preserve it at night.”
