Redskins Make Ticket Typos
- Updated: August 1, 2012
For season ticket holders such as myself, this time of this year is great. While fans are beginning to receive their tickets in the mail, there might be one special surprise on a ticket.
It appears that yet again a Washington D.C sports team has made a spelling error. The Washington Nationals have taken the cake with this, spelling numerous things wrong each season, such as the infamous “Natinals” on the jersey and spelling honoring on a 9/11 Tribute Wall, “honorring.” Even the Washington Capitals and Redskins have had this happen to them as well, mostly with players names such as “Bettis” for Ladell Betts.
Well, the Redskins just did it again, or perhaps the printing company, by spelling Roy Helu’s name, Robert. Perhaps it was a simple mistake due to being right next to Robert Griffin, but the fact is, a sum 80+ thousand tickets will have this mistake on them.
UPDATE: Our good friend Ted, from HAILBBQ tweeted that London Fletcher is being represented as #58, rather than #59 (which he has worn every season here). It appears that someone typed everything up and sent it to the copiers. I would guess that same someone is going to be fired.
