First Shots of RG3 in Madden 13 + His Possible Rating?
- Updated: June 4, 2012
I am a little nerdy awesome sometimes. Being that I’m so awesome nerdy, I would know that this week’s big E3 conference is like the NFL Draft for gamers.
One of my favorite parts about E3 is it’s typically the first look at what the new Madden will bring to the table. This years Madden looks to take a HUGE jump forward and you can check out Operation Sports for all sorts of Madden 13 goodness.
Today OS showed a first glimpse of RG3inDC Madden Style (you know I’m GEEKED).
You can check out some sweet new screens below of Griffin donning the burgundy and gold.
Now I picked a few HUGE points out of these shots but know this is a super early build of the game so I could be super wrong.
No Arm Sleeve for RG3- I found a way to make a lame sleeve in Madden 12 for the RG3 “party” arm, but according to these shots EA didn’t get Griffins signature uni tweak “in the game”. I know is a small nit to pick given the fact that most gamers agree Madden needs some serious work, but come on guys get RG3 right!
More Evidence Pointing to the End of the Gold Pants- Sorry Gold Pants lovers, all signs continue to point to the end of the fan favorite uni combo. Last month we explained why we believe the gold pants are getting 86′d this year and evidence to support our theory keeps popping up. Sorry guys I am expecting a 2012 without them.
RG3 is Going to Be STACKED on Madden Rating- I don’t know if you noticed the progression shot, but RG3 is already hovering around an overall rating of 90. EA has confirmed that Griffin will have one of and possibly THE highest rating as a rookie — and these shots confirm that. It looks like before the training done in the shot Griffin was at 88 overall and if that is his starting rating look out. Remember when EVERYONE was playing as the Falcons in high school because Mike Vick was a Madden God? If RG3 is rated this high the online gaming communities are going to be overrun with Redskins users. After years of being stuck with scrubs like Tony Banks, Shane Matthews, Rex Grossman and John Beck getting an elite Madden weapon at QB is going to be a blast.
What do you guys think? Hit the comments for your take on the shots.

I believe the 88 and 89 rating refers to his Ball Carrier Vision Rating….

Agreed! I have managed to win some games with sucky QBs!, but having an elite qb makes a world of a difference and makes my skins better all around!

You know those screen shots are just a tease….It’s only the first of June. They will make all the changes and make it look as much like the real player as possible. I mean take a look at the background on those screens, no way that is the finished product.

you have a terrible habit of drawing erroneous conclusions from small bits of information, where from these pictures do you get the idea that his overall rating is an 88? there is no chance he starts with that high of a rating
